From exhilarating pre-wedding preparations to heartwarming ceremonies and breathtaking receptions, join us as we guide you through each enchanting moment. And, of course, don’t forget to have a UK Editorial photographer to capture each precious moment.

Getting Ready

prepStart your day with a relaxing breakfast in bed with your spouse-to-be. Then, it’s time to get pampered. Head to the salon for hair and makeup, or take care of those details at home with your bridesmaids. Once you’re all dolled up, it’s time to slip into your gorgeous gown and get ready for the ceremony.

If you have time before heading to the venue, spend a few moments alone with your fiancé or take some portraits with your wedding party.

First Look Photos

After you’ve seen each other for the first time on your wedding day, it’s time to take some photos! This is a great opportunity to get some beautiful shots of you and your spouse together.

Formal Portraits

Formal portraits are a must on your wedding day. You’ll want to capture all the details of your beautiful gown and the handsome suit your new husband is wearing. But don’t let the posed photos get in the way of enjoying your wedding day.

Ceremony Time

The ceremony itself will last about 30 minutes, during which you’ll exchange vows, say “I do,” and share a kiss with your new spouse. Afterward, you’ll make your way back down the aisle as husband and wife. Then it will be time to celebrate. First with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner and dancing.

Exchange of Vows and Rings

The exchange of vows is one of the most important parts of your wedding day. This is when you and your spouse-to-be publicly declare your love and commitment to each other. You may want to write your own vows, or you can use traditional ones. Either way, be sure to practice beforehand so you feel confident on the big day. After the vows have been exchanged, it’s time for the rings. The best man and maid of honor will usually hand over the rings during this part of the ceremony. Again, take a few moments to practice before the big day so everything goes smoothly.

Reception Activities

The first thing on everyone’s mind when they arrive at your wedding, is, “Can I get a drink?” Make sure you have a signature cocktail for them to enjoy as they mix and mingle with other guests. You can also have some light hors d’oeuvres out to tide them over until dinner. Once everyone has had a chance to arrive and get settled, it’s time to start the reception activities. The first order of business is usually introductions of the bridal party and the newlyweds. This is followed by your first dance as husband and wife. After the first dance, it’s time to let your guests hit the dance floor. Get the party started with some fun music that everyone can enjoy. If you want to keep the dancing going all night long, make sure you have a band or DJ that can keep the energy up.

Meal Service

Your wedding day is a time to celebrate with your closest friends and family, and what better way to do that than with a delicious meal? With this, look for the best caterer in town.

cake

Cake Cutting and Toast

Cake cutting usually takes place after the first dance. The bride and groom will cut the cake together and feed each other a piece of cake. This is a symbol of their commitment to sharing their lives together. After the cake has been cut, the guests will be asked to raise their glasses for a toast. The best man, maid of honor, or parents of the bride and groom will usually give a toast. This is a time to say kind words about the happy couple and wish them well in their future together. The toasts are often followed by more dancing and celebrating.

Dancing and Entertainment

When it comes to wedding day entertainment, there are a few key moments that you’ll want to plan for. First, you’ll want to choose the right music to set the tone as your guests arrive. You can either hire a live band or DJ or create a playlist of your favorite songs. Next, you’ll want to decide if you’d like to have any formal dances, such as the first dance or the father-daughter dance. If so, you’ll need to pick out the perfect song and practice …
